Photography and filming on the grounds of the National Museum Zurich require a permit and will incur a charge if

• photographs or recordings are used for commercial purposes,
• bulky tools are used,
• drones are used,
• relatively large groups are taking photographs or filming,
• barriers are necessary,
• visitors to the museums, gardens or courtyards are affected or
• property rights, especially copyright, have to be taken into consideration.

The following provisions apply:

• Filming and photography requests must be submitted at least 20 days in advance. There is no entitlement to the issue of a permit. Requests may be rejected without giving any reasons.
• A permit may have conditions attached.
• If a permit is issued, the Rules and Regulations for Filming & Photography on Museum Premises will apply.
• A fee must be paid for the issue of a permit.
