Guided Tour

Die Reformation und ihre Folgen

| accessibility.time_to

The exhibition

Key-Visual der Ausstellung "Die Sammlung"

From October 2019, the Swiss National Museum’s collections will be presented in the renovated historical west wing of the National Museum Zurich. The renovation brings the west wing back to its 1898 state: Atriums are open, original floors are restored and ceiling frescoes are displayed. Items from the Middle Ages to today presented in the historical spaces give visitors insight into Switzerland’s rich artisanal and cultural-historical heritage. From altarpieces to tapestries, from the evolution of fashion to modern jewellery design, they can discover a selection from the rich collection in every room. The exhibition in the tower focuses on 19th-century tourism in Switzerland and typical Swiss artisanal traditions.
