Züri-Insider Thomas Wyss streift an diesem Abend durch die Ausstellung von «Einfach Zürich». Dabei beleuchtet er, oft musikalisch untermalt, alternative Nebenschauplätze und skurrile Anekdoten der Stadtgeschichte. So berichtet er etwa davon, wie ein Bauer aus dem Zürcher Oberland (beinahe) die New Yorker High Society verführt oder von einer der schillerndsten Personen der Zürcher Subkultur – Lady Shiva alias Irene Staub. Beim «grande Finale» lädt er zu einer befreienden sinnlichen Grenzerfahrung ein.

Thomas Wyss

Thomas Wyss ist Co-Leiter der Architektur-, Design-, Fotografie und Kunstbuchhandlung Never Stop Reading in Zürich und Mitarbeiter des Kunstbuchverlags Scheidegger & Spiess. Darüber hinaus ist er als Autor und freischaffender Journalist für verschiedene Medien und Publikationen tätig.

The exhibition

Key-Visual der Ausstellung "Einfach Zürich"

The city and canton of Zurich have a long and chequered history. This will be shown in a permanent exhibition at the National Museum. From the pile-dwelling settlement to the muesli grater and the handbook for squatters, the exhibition explores Zurich’s rich past; cinematic installations and state-of-the-art technology bring an added dimension to the 60 or so historical objects on display, giving visitors a multimedia experience.
